Vance Bryden Gerry

Disney Animation Artist. In 1955, he began his career at Disney Studios as an artist, he contributed to the television shows, “The Goofy Success Story,” “Goofy’s Cavalcade of Sports,” and “How to Relax,” also features “The Truth About Mother Goose,” and “Donald in Mathmagic Land.” As a layout artist, he worked on the films “101 Dalmatians,” “The Sword in the Stone,” “The Jungle Book,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tarzan” and “Fantasia/2000”. In 1995, he shifted to the visual development and contributed to “Pocahontas,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Tarzan” and “Home on the Range.” In addition to artistry, he received story adaptation credit for “The Great Mouse Detective” and also operated the Weatherbird Press, which published many fine graphic books.
