Sonia Furió

Actress. Born in Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain, Furió developed a prolific career on stage, screen, radio and television. During the Spanish Civil War her family moved to Mexico, where Furió studied acting. Her films include “El Seductor” (1955), “Pensión de Artistas” (1956), “The Lovers” (1956), “La Sombra del Otro” (1957), “Ay…Calypso no te Rajes! (1958), “Housewife to your Neighbor” (1958), “El Cofre del Pirata” (1959), “Los Desarraigados” (1960), “Vacaciones en Acapulco” (1961), “The Well” (1965), “Operación Tiburón” (1967) and “Hay Ángeles sin Alas” (1972). On television she is best remembered for “Fallaste Corazón” (1968), “Pequeñeces” (1971), “El Chófer” (1974), “Tal Como Somos” (1987) and “Con Todo el Alma” (1996).  (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
