Raleigh Bond (July 20, 1935 – August 10, 1989) was an American actor born in Chicago , Illinois . Between 1981 and 1988, he appeared in 41 film and television works, spanning genres such as drama, comedy, and action. He began his acting career in 1979 with The Onion Field . In 1981, he appeared in The Postman Always Rings Twice as an insurance salesman. In 1982, he played the mayor in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas . In 1983, he appeared in Making of a Male Model and Scarecrow and Mrs. King . In 1986, he played a personnel manager in If Tomorrow Comes. In 1987, he portrayed Martin in Black Widow . In 1988, he played a priest in Elvira: Mistress of the Dark and had an uncredited role as a grandfather in The Great Outdoors . He completed his final work, Disaster at Silo 7, in the same year.

In 1982, he appeared in the film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas as the Mayor and in the television series Family Ties as Ted. In 1983, he appeared in the film Nightmares as Norman, a Neighbor and in the television series Scarecrow and Mrs. King .
1985 was the peak of his career, playing T. Percival ‘T.P.’ Aquinas in the television series Scarecrow and Mrs. King (for 11 episodes). In 1986, he appeared in the television series Mr. Belvedere as Darryl Hammond among other roles and in the miniseries Fresno as an Organ Store Manager. In 1987, he appeared in the film Black Widow as Martin.
