Pat Coombs

Actress, Entertainer. One of Britain’s most beloved comic actresses. Born Patricia Doreen Coombs in Camberwell, London she began her career in the mid 1950’s. Often the foil of such comedian’s as Dick Emery, Bob Monkhouse and Peggy Mount she reached the height of her fame during the 1970’s. Amongst her numerous television and radio work were shows such as “Till Death Us Do Part,” “Carry on Doctor,” “Carry On Again Doctor,” “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” “Dad’s Army,” “On the Buses” and “EastEnders.” She died at the famous actors retirement home Denville Hall due to complications from emphysema. Her ashes were later removed by the funeral director. (bio by: Kieran Smith)
