Actress. An attractive blonde model of the 1940s, she is remembered for her starring roles in two late 1950s cult classics. Raised in central New Jersey, she was spotted on the Boardwalk in Asbury Park as a teenager and signed by the Powers Agency. Norma quickly became a favorite of fashon photographers and graced numerous magazine covers; moving to Hollywood in 1951 she made her silver screen bow in the 1952 “Sailor Beware” which starred Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. She was Louise for the 1953 “Problem Girls” and was seen on several early television series including “Whirlybirds”, “State Trooper”, and “Dragnet”. In 1958 she was to land her two best known roles, Jill Winters in the crime drama “Live Fast, Die Young” and Rachel in “Return of Dracula”. Married to French actor and war hero Claude Dauphin from 1955 until his death she divided her time between Holywood, New Jersey, and Paris, and returned to the screen but once, for a 1969 episode of “Hogan’s Heroes”. In later years she was said to have been quite surprised to see her image on “Live Fast, Die Young” shirts. Norma was to live out her days in New Jersey and died of a stroke.
