Actor, Writer. Born in Poltava, Russia, he was a veteran of the silent movie era, appearing in over a hundred films. His credits include “His People” (1925), “April Fool” (1926), “The Jazz Singer” (1927), “The Talk of Hollywood” (1929), “Comet Over Broadway” (1938) and “The Roaring Twenties” (1939).
