Actress, Model. Born Mary Ann Gaba, in Chicago, her father worked as a mail carrier, she began modeling during her teenage years and captured the title of ‘Miss Illinois’ in 1957. This experience resulted in her finishing as a finalist for the ‘Miss Universe Pageant’ and her adorning the cover of Playboy Magazine in September of 1959. From this success, he moved to Hollywood and launched her film and television career with an episode from the TV series “The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show”. Cast in the roles of a ‘sexpot’, she appeared in the films “Missile to the Moon” (1958), “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies” (1960), “Raymie” (1960) and “G.I. Blues” (1960). She will be remembered for her roles in the ‘beach’ films “How to Stuff a Wild Bikini” (1965) and “Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine” (1965). Among her other TV credits include “77 Sunset Strip”, “Burke’s Law” and “The Beverly Hillbillies”. She died from a brain tumor. (bio by: C.S.)
