Mae  Questel

Actress. She began her career as a performer in Vaudeville comedy as an impressionist and singer. From 1931 to 1939, she provided the voice over for cartoon characters in more than 150 animated films such as “Felix the Cat”, “Minnie Mouse”, “Betty Boop”, “Olive Oyl” and “Sweet Pea”. During the 1930s she released a recording of “On the Ship Lollipop” which sold more than two million copies. She also appeared in many feature films to include “The Musical Doctor” (1932), “It’s Only Money” (1961), “Funny Girl” (1968), “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” (1988) and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” (1989). For television she was most noted for doing commercials for Scott Towels, Playtex and Folgers Coffee. She also appeared on panel shows and in daytime soap operas.
