Actress. She is best remembered fo her roles in the 1950s Sci-Fi films, “The Brain Eaters” (1959), as ‘Alice Summers,’ and “Plan 9 From Outer Space” (1959), as ‘Tanna.’ She also made guest appearances on the television shows, “Leave It To Beaver,” “On Trail,” “The 20th Century Fox Hour,’ “The Donna Reed Show,” and “Death Family Days.” Also a writer, producer, director, she worked on the films, “Children Of Divorce” (1980), “Mary Jane Harper Cried Last Night” (1977), “Cage Without A Key” (1975), “Mirror, Mirror” (1979), “Mulligan’s Stew” (1977), and television series, “Gilligan’s Island,” “The Flintstones,” “The Waltons,” “Petticoat Junction,” “The Governor & J.J.” and “Nanny And The Professor.” In 1999 she published her autobiography, “A Difficult Woman In Hollywood.” She was also the recipient of an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award, which she received for her work.
