James Blish

Author. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey. He is fondly remembered for his science fiction stories. In fact, he was the first author to write short story collections based upon the classic TV series Star Trek. In 1968, Blish emigrated to England, and lived in Oxford until his death. Among his works “Cities in Flight” (that include among others “They Shall Have Stars,” “Earthman Come Home” and “A Clash of Cymbals,”) “A Case of Conscience,” “The Day After Judgment,” “Fallen Star,” “The Night Shapes,” “We All Die Naked, “A Style in Treason” and “Spock Must Die!.” In 2002, he was elected to Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.
