Inga Tidblad

Swedish Actress. From 1932 until 1963 she acted mainly at Vasateatern, Oscarsteatern and Dramaten (Royal Dramatic Theatre) in Stockholm. She made 30 films, and her debut was in ”Andersson, Pettersson och Lundström” (1923). She also was recognized for ”Sången om den eldröda blomman” (1934), ”Intermezzo” (against Ingrid Bergman, 1936) and ”Pärlemor” (1961), among others. In 1956 playwright Eugene O´Neill instituted an award in his own name at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. She was the first to receive it. Inga Tidblad is the mother of Swedish Actress Meg Westergren.
