Harry David “Moose” Miller

Professional Basketball Player. He had only one season in the Pros but was a part of Basketball history. On November 1, 1946, he played for the Toronto Huskies in the first ever National Basketball Association (NBA) game, at Maple Leaf Gardens against the New York Knicks. In that one season as a center with the Huskies, he appeared in 53 games and scored 152 points. He also played basketball at the University of North Carolina and Seton Hall University,  and served in World War II.
