Gisèle Mauricet

Actress. A native of Hull, Quebec, she studied in Paris before moving to Montreal to begin a career in acting. She first won attention on television in the role of Rosa Rose in “Les belles histories des pays d’en haut,” which aired from 1956 to 1970. Mauricet is best remembered for her co-starring role as Délicat on the highly popular Quebec children’s program “Grujot et Délicat” (1968 to 1974). In the 1980s she retired from acting and moved to the United States, eventually settling in Florida. She died there from cirrhosis of the liver.
