Frances Howard Goldwyn

Actress.  Credited as Frances Howard during her acting career, she appeared mostly on Broadway, but did make a few films in the 1920s and 1930s, most notably “Shock Punch,” “The Swan,” and “Too Many Kisses” all in 1925. Her last film role was in “Mary Burns, Fugitive” in 1935.  Best known as wife of Hollywood Mogal/Producer Samuel Goldwyn (1882-1974). The couple were married over 50 years at the time of his death.  Mother of producer Samuel Goldwyn Jr and grandmother of actor Tony Goldwyn.  Frances Goldwyn was very much in love with director George Cukor, (who was known for being openly gay), and ultimately, was buried next to him upon her death in 1976.
