Don Grady (Don Grady)

Don Grady

Actor, Musician.  Born Don Louis Agrati, he is best remembered both as an original Mouseketeer, and as Robbie Douglas from ‘My Three Sons’. After his stint on The Mickey Mouse Club, he appeared on ‘The Restless Gun’, ‘Wagon Train’, ‘The Eleventh Hour’ and ‘The Rifleman’ before being cast the middle brother on ‘My Three Sons’. Later on, he became the confident elder brother with the departure of Mike (Tim Considine), and the adoption of Ernie (Barry Livingston), who became the new “third son”.  On several episodes of the popular series he appeared with his own band, The Greefs, and was the drummer for The Yellow Balloon, whose self-titled song became a minor hit during 1967.  After the series ended in 1972, he continued with his music career where his works included the soundtrack for the Blake Edwards film ‘Switch’ as well as composing the theme song for The Phil Donahue Show.  Grady died at his home after a four-year battle with bone cancer.
