Charley Harper

Artist. For over fifty years, he was known as one of the best wildlife artists in America. His works have been shown in galleries, traveling exhibitions, nature magazines and as posters for conservation organizations. His collections are in the National Park Service Center, Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Nature Center, Cincinnati Art Museum, Hamilton County Park Center and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Pennsylvania. He also did paintings for the National Audubon Society, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the Ford Building and prints on fabric for the La-Z-Boy chair line. His books include “Birds and Words,” “Beguiled by the Wild,” “Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life, ” “The Golden Book of Biology, The Animal Kingdom, Birds & Words” and hundreds of limited edition serigraphs.
