Benjamin Alden Bidlack

US Congressman. Elected to represent Pennsylvania in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1841 to 1845. He also served as a Member of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives in 1835, and as the United States Charge d’Affaires to New Grenada from 1845 until his death in 1849. This monument with the following inscription is designed from the one created by the Americans of Bogata US Columbia. The Americans in Bogata erected this monument to the memory of their late friend and countryman. The Hon. Benj.
