Ann Thomas

Actress. She appeared on stage, in radio, on television and in film. She began acting at 4 years old in a Metropolitan Opera production of “The Merchant of Venice”. She was known for her gravelly voice and Brooklyn accent. On Broadway, some of her appearances were in the original productions of “Charm” (1929), “Lost Boy” (1932), “Sailor Beware!”(1933), “ Having Wonderful Time” (1937), “Chicken Every Sunday” (1944), and “Home is the Hero” (1954). Her other roles include ‘Miss Duffy’ on radio’s “Duffy’s Tavern” (1945) and ‘Bambi’ in the film  “The King of Marvin Gardens” (1972).   (bio by: Ginny M)
