Al “Crown Prince of Baseball” Schacht

Schacht was a journeyman pitcher for the Washington Senators for 3 seasons. After his retirement as a player he barnstormed doing a comic act at ballparks and was the first “Clown Prince of Baseball.” In the 1940-50s he owned a popular restaurant that bore his name in New York City.
