Biography

Vasily Lanovoy was born on January 16, 1934, in Moscow, where he would spend much of his life dedicated to his craft. Over nearly nine decades, he became a respected figure in Soviet and Russian cinema and theater, contributing to the cultural landscape of his nation through his work as an actor.
