Biography

Benito Mussolini was born on July 29, 1883, in Predappio, Italy. He rose to become the dictator of Italy, a position he held from 1922 until his death in 1945. His tenure fundamentally shaped the course of Italian history and had profound consequences that extended far beyond the nation’s borders during a transformative period in European affairs.

Mussolini’s life came to an end on April 28, 1945, in Giulino, where he died from a gunshot wound. His death marked the conclusion of an era that had defined Italy for more than two decades. Following his passing, he was laid to rest in the major cemetery of Milan, where his remains were interred among those of other significant figures from Italian history.
