Richard Russell Jr. (1897–1971) was a 66th Governor of Georgia (1931–1933), U.S. Senator from Georgia. Born November 2, 1897 in Winder. Died January 21, 1971 in Washington, D.C. of pulmonary emphysema. Interred at Russell Memorial Park Cemetery, Winder, United States.
