Biography
Sun Yat-sen was born on November 12, 1866, in Cuiheng, beginning a life that would span continents and transform a nation. Trained as a physician, he possessed both the intellect of a healer and the vision of a revolutionary, combining these callings in service to his country during a period of profound historical change. His dedication to his ideals never wavered, even as circumstances shifted around him throughout his remarkable life.
On March 12, 1925, Sun Yat-sen passed away at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, succumbing to liver cancer at the age of fifty-eight.
