Biography
Ottmar Mergenthaler (1854–1899) was a German-American precision mechanic and inventor of the Linotype typesetting machine. Born May 11, 1854 in Hachtel. Died October 28, 1899 in Baltimore of tuberculosis. Interred at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, United States.
