Biography

Dame May Whitty was born on June 19, 1865, in Liverpool, England, where she began her journey toward becoming one of the most respected actresses of her era. Over her long and distinguished career, she became known for her commanding presence and exceptional talent on both stage and screen, earning the respect and admiration of audiences and colleagues alike.

May’s career spanned decades, during which she established herself as a versatile performer across multiple theatrical and cinematic roles.
