Kobe Bryant was born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He would go on to become one of basketball’s most accomplished and celebrated athletes, dedicating much of his life to the sport that defined his career and legacy.

On January 26, 2020, Kobe’s life was tragically cut short in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
