Giuseppe Tartini was born on April 8, 1692, in Piran, a coastal city in the Istrian Peninsula. He would become one of Italy’s most accomplished composers and violinists, leaving a lasting mark on the musical world during a period of great artistic flourishing. As both a performer and composer, he contributed significantly to the repertoire of his time, demonstrating the kind of artistic commitment that defined the greatest musicians of the eighteenth century.
