Alexander Parkes (1813–1890) was a metallurgist and inventor of the early plastic Parkesine. Born December 29, 1813 in Birmingham. Died June 29, 1890 in London Borough of Southwark. Interred at West Norwood Cemetery, London Borough of Lambeth, United Kingdom.
