Biography

Oswald Mosley was born on November 16, 1896, in Westminster to an aristocratic English family. Throughout his life, he occupied prominent positions in British political and social circles, drawing attention for his controversial ideological views and forceful personality. His early years were marked by the privileges of his social standing, which shaped his trajectory through the twentieth century.

Mosley’s later years were increasingly affected by Parkinson’s disease, a progressive neurological condition that gradually limited his physical capabilities. He continued to live through the post-war decades as attitudes toward his political legacy shifted dramatically across British society. On December 3, 1980, he passed away in Orsay, France, at the age of eighty-three.

His life spanned nearly a century of profound change in Europe and Britain, during which he remained a polarizing historical figure. The circumstances and location of his burial have not been recorded in publicly available sources.
