Enrique III was born on October 12, 1379, in Burgos, Spain, during a transformative period in Castilian history. As king of Castile, he carried the weight of a crown passed down through generations, inheriting both the responsibilities and complexities of medieval royal governance. His early life was shaped by the political landscape of the Iberian Peninsula, where power, alliances, and succession were perpetually contested among noble families.

Enrique III ruled during formative years for the Kingdom of Castile, navigating the challenges that faced a young monarch in a turbulent era. Though details of his reign remain distant across the centuries, his legacy endured in the institutions and traditions he stewarded. He died on January 3, 1407, in Toledo, having spent much of his reign in this historic city that served as a center of royal power.
