Biography

Georges Bizet came into the world on October 25, 1838, in Paris, France, where he would go on to establish himself as a composer of considerable talent and vision. Born into a musical family in the vibrant cultural landscape of nineteenth-century Paris, he was shaped by the rich artistic traditions that flourished in his native city during this transformative era.

Though his life was cut tragically short, Bizet’s work as a composer left an indelible mark on the musical world. His creative output reflected the ambitions and innovations characteristic of his time, contributing meaningfully to the development of French musical expression during the nineteenth century.

On June 3, 1875, Bizet passed away in Bougival, succumbing to a myocardial infarction at just thirty-six years of age.
