Biography

Ana Bolena was born on January 1, 1501, at Blickling Hall, beginning a life that would become one of history’s most consequential and tragic stories. She rose to prominence as the second wife of King Henry VIII of England, a role that placed her at the center of events that would reshape a nation and its faith.

On May 29, 1536, Ana’s life came to a sudden and violent end in the Tower of London, where she was executed by decapitation. Her death marked the culmination of a dramatic fall from royal grace, leaving behind a legacy of political upheaval and personal sorrow that would echo through the centuries.

Following her death, Ana was laid to rest in the Church of St Peter ad Vincula in Tower Hamlets, London.
