Biography
Wilhelm II was born on January 27, 1859, at the Kronprinzenpalais and went on to become the last German Emperor and King of Prussia, serving from 1888 until 1918. His reign spanned three decades of profound transformation in European history, marked by significant political and social change. As both monarch and military leader, Wilhelm II wielded considerable influence over the German state during a formative period in modern European affairs.
On June 4, 1941, Wilhelm II passed away at Huis Doorn in the Netherlands at the age of eighty-two, succumbing to cardiovascular disease. He was laid to rest at Huis Doorn in Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Netherlands, where he had spent his later years in residence. His long life witnessed the rise and fall of imperial Germany and the dramatic reshaping of the European political landscape across two world wars.
