Al-Khayzuran (701–789) was a Wife of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Mahdi and de facto ruler of the Abbasid Caliphate from 775 to 789. Born January 1, 701 in Yemen. Died November 24, 789 in Baghdad. Interred at Al Khaisaran cemetery, Baghdad Governorate, Iraq.
